In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Mother, Maria F. Veloso.

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life rooted in love, we announce the passing of our cherished Mother. She was the foundation of our family — a woman of unwavering strength, quiet resilience, and endless devotion.

She was preceded in death by her late parents Manuel and Maria Teresa Marques, by her beloved husband, Balbino Veloso, her son, Carlos Veloso and her grandson, Jose Cruz. Despite enduring such profound loss, she carried herself with dignity and grace, continuing to pour love into her family even through her own sorrow.

She leaves behind her loving daughters: Patricia Veloso, Adelaide Veloso, Emilia Cruz, Manuela Silva & her eight beloved grandchildren; and four precious great-grandchildren, 5 brothers and 1 sister, all of whom were the light of her life. Her love lives on through each of them — in their strength, their kindness, and the traditions she passed down.

To her family, she was comfort and home. Her presence brought warmth to every room. Her embrace felt like safety. Her lessons will continue to guide us for the rest of our lives. She taught us how to endure with faith, how to love without limits, and how to remain strong no matter what life placed in our path.

Though we mourn her deeply, we find peace knowing she is reunited with the loved ones she missed so dearly. Her life was a testament to perseverance and unconditional love — a love that does not end with goodbye.

She will forever remain in our hearts, in our traditions, and in the stories, we pass down for generations to come. Rest peacefully, Mom. Your love will carry us forward always. 

Family and friends are invited to the funeral services on Tuesday March 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at (Villa Americas Funeral Home located at 279 Roseville Avenue Newark, NJ 07107).

Funeral at Holy Cross Cemetery located at (340 Ridge Road North Arlington, NJ 07031) at 01:00 p.m.
