Emma De La Rosa, 80, passedpeacefully with her family by her side in Newark, NJ on May 12, 2020.
A memorial service will be postponed at a later date.
Mrs. Emma was born August 16, 1939, in El Siebo, Dominican Republic to Lucilla and Amado Ciprian.
Emma was a loving homemaker who was immensely proud of her family. She leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She sacrificed herself for the sole benefit of her family. Her drive, dedication and the core principles she instilled in her family empowered them to achieve an education and become successful members of society. The sacrifices she’s made while raising a family as a single mother and the love she gave had a domino effect on her children and grandchildren; today they work in hospitals, homeland security, law enforcement and financial institutions
Emma was survived by three children: Rolando Ramirez, Olga De Guzman and Maria T. Garcia. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Jacqueline, Cristina, Luis, Tony, Daniel, Luisa and Dario; two brothers and a sister.
Emma was predeceased by her oldest son Carlos Ramirez in 2007.
Emma enjoyed meeting with friends and family. She enjoyedgardening, sewing, cooking and jewelry making.
She will forever be remembered for her kindness and unconditional love that she spread as if it was confetti.
