Carmen D. Rojas

Carmen D. Rojas, was born November 9th, 1932 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. Carmen raised her family between Puerto Rico and New Jersey. Carmen loved and cherished her 7 children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Carmen enjoyed cooking, taking care of her beloved dogs and birds, Betty Boop, Spanish soap operas, and spending time with her family. 

Carmen is survived by her children Victor Hernandez, Gilberto Martinez with Lynn Martinez, Sandra Campbell, Carlos Hernandez, Pedro Hernandez with Maria Hernandez, and Edward Hernandez with Maria Hernandez, her many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Homero, daughter, Nancy, and daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Hernandez. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, January 20th from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Villa Americas Funeral Home located at 279 Roseville Ave. Newark, NJ 07107.

A private Funeral Service will be held at 9:00 am Friday, January 21 st at St. Columbus Church in Newark, NJ
