Con profundo dolor y tristeza, anunciamos que nuestra amada Madre, la Sra. Carmen A. Figueroa, partió a la presencia del Señor el 11 de Marzo de 2026, a la edad de 93 años, rodeada del amor y el afecto de sus seres queridos. Carmen nació en la ciudad de Aguada, Puerto Rico, y posteriormente se trasladó a Newark, NJ, a principios de la década de los 60. Fue una amada Hija, Hermana, Madre, Tia, Abuela y Amiga. Carmen será recordada siempre por aquellos que comparten con ella recuerdos imborrables. Su historia comenzó en la ciudad de Aguada, Puerto Rico. Nació el 23 de Marzo de 1932, hija de Felipa Duprey Torres y Ricardo Cajigas Rivera, y fue la mayor de seis hermanos. Creció rodeada de las tradiciones y los valores que la definieron.

Para su familia directa, era conocida cariñosamente como “Carmin”, para sus hijos era Mami, para sus sobrinas y sobrinos Titi Carmin y para sus nietos Ma. Le precedieron en la muerte sus amados padres, Felipa Duprey Torres y Ricardo Cajigas Rivera; su amado esposo, Pedro Feliciano Figueroa; y su amada hija, Yvette Feliciano. Le sobreviven su amada hija, Carmen Feliciano-O’Bryant; su amado hijo, Pedro Feliciano; su yerno, Glenn O’Bryant; sus tres adorados nietos, Clifton Le’Roy, Cassidy Nunez (esposa Ciara Nunez) y Glenn C. O’Bryant, así como otros familiares y amigos que la amaron entrañablemente. Su amor vive a través  de cada uno de ellos, en sus valores, en su fuerza, su amabilidad y las tradiciones que transmitió. Para su familia, ella era consuelo y hogar, sus puertas siempre estaban abiertas. Su sonrisa, su manera de hablar y presencia traían calidez a cada cuarto. Sus lecciones seguirán guiándonos por el resto de nuestras vidas. Ella nos enseño como amar sin limites y como soportar con fe, sin importer los tropezones que nos diera la vida. Aunque la lloramos profundamente, encontramos la paz sabiendo que se ha reunido con sus seres mas queridos en el cielo y que tanto extrañaba. Su vida fue un testimonio de perseverancia y amor incondicional, un amor que no termina con un adios. Ella permanecerá para siempre en nuestros corazones, en nuestras tradiciones y en las historias que transmitiremos para las generaciones que vengan. Descansa en paz, Mami. Tu amor nos llevara siempre hacia adelante.

Familiares y amigos estas invitados el día Jueves 26 de Marzo de 2026 a la velación desde las 04:00 p.m. hasta las 08:00 p.m. en la Funeraria Villa Americas ubicada en (279 Roseville Avenue Newark, NJ 07107).

El día Viernes 27 de Marzo de 2026 se celebrará una Misa de Cuerpo Presente en la Iglesia de St. Michael's ubicada en (172 Broadway Newark, NJ 07104) a las 10:00 a.m.

Funeral en el Cementerio de Arlington ubicado en  (748 Schuyler Avenue  Kearny, NJ 07032) a las 12:30 p.m.

With deep pain and sadness, we announce that our beloved Mother, Mrs. Carmen A. Figueroa, departed into the presence of the Lord on March 11, 2026, at the age of 93, surrounded by the love and affection of her loved ones. Carmen was born in the City of Aguada, Puerto Rico, and later moved to Newark, NJ, in the early 1960s. She was a beloved Daughter, Sister, Mother, Aunt, Grandmother and Friend. Carmen will always be remembered by those who share indelible memories with her. Her story began in the City of Aguada, Puerto Rico. She was born on March 23, 1932 to Felipa Duprey Torres and Ricardo Cajigas Rivera and was the eldest of six children. She was raised surrounded by the traditions and values ​​that defined her. To her immediate family, she was affectionately known as “Carmin”; to her children, she was Mami; to her nieces and nephews, Titi Carmin; and to her grandchildren, Ma. Preceding her in death were her beloved parents, Felipa Duprey Torres and Ricardo Cajigas Rivera; her beloved husband, Pedro Feliciano Figueroa; and her beloved daughter, Yvette Feliciano. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Carmen Feliciano-O’Bryant, her beloved son, Pedro Feliciano; son-in-law, Glenn O’Bryant; her three adored grandchildren -Clifton Le’Roy, Cassidy Nunez (wife Ciara Nunez) and Glenn C. O’Bryant, as well as other relatives and friends who loved her so dearly. Her love lives on through each of them, in their values, their strength, their kindness, and the traditions she passed down. To her family, she was both a source of comfort and a home, her doors were always open. Her smile, her way of speaking, and her presence brought warmth to every room. Her lessons will continue to guide us for the rest of our lives. She taught us how to love without limits and how to endure with faith, regardless of the stumbling blocks life placed in our path. Although we mourn her deeply, we find peace in knowing that she has been reunited in heaven with the loved ones she missed so dearly. Her life was a testament to perseverance and unconditional love, a love that does not end with a goodbye. She will remain forever in our hearts, in our traditions and in the stories, we will pass down to the generations to come. Rest in peace, Mami. Your love will always carry us forward.

Family and friends are invited to the funeral visitation on Thursday March 26, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at (Villa Americas Funeral Home located at 279 Roseville Avenue Newark, NJ 07107).

On Friday March 27, 2026, Funeral Mass at St. Michael's Church located at (172 Broadway Newark, NJ 07104) at 10:00 a.m.

Funeral at Arlington Cemetery located at (748 Schuyler Avenue Kearny, NJ 07032) at 12:30 p.m.
