Bessie L Dobson

Bessie L. Dobson departed this life peacefully on May 27, 2021. She was born in Gifford, S.C. on August 12, 1936.

Bessie accepted Christ at an early age where her faith and love for the Lord began to develop and grow. Bessie retired years ago from working as a home health aide, which gave her more time to be a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Bessie was preceded in death by her children: Alonzo Dobson, Harry Roberts, Angelo Dobson, Pamela Dobson and Tonya Dobson-Osborne.

She leaves loving and lasting memories to her sons, Barry Dobson (Veronica) and Bryan Dobson (Jacquelyn); one son-in-law, Councilman-at-large, Eddie Osborne; one brother James Roberts, five grandchildren; Marlena Covington Payne, Naomi Brown-Johnson , Eddie Osborne, Torri Dobson, Anastasia Lewis; two step-grandchildren; Travis and Ty-Shawn Brown; eight great-grandchildren; Samir Whitehead, Zayan Houser, Aissa Battle, Malayah Robinson, Knowledge Dobson, Juell Dobson, Maelani Dobson, Yaa Yaa Monique Payne and step-great-grandson, Travis Brown Jr.; one great great nephew Azah Roberts: seven Beloved nieces, Cassandra and Jarae Roberts, Rosa Moore (sister), Jaqueline Griffin; Gwendolyn Battle, Yvonne Towns, Sheila Badger, three nephews; James Fisher, Bruno and Jerry Badger and one Devoted great nephew, Arthur Baxter; and a host of other loving relatives and caring friends all of whom will miss her dearly.
